Taking it as face value and not truly delving into the essence of what this film is about would mean a slap in the face for many particularly those who feel they have been insulted through their religion. Reading between the lines the film shows us several messages. One the ignorance that we have between our different cultures can cause unfortunate consequences, not only from the literal potong depicted here but also meaning something that has already come to pass that cannot be undone. The other fact is that the dis connectivity that many youths who venture forth face when dealing with cultures back home, some are so out of touch that it may seem puzzling some of our antics here particularly concerning politics. Lastly the film message is simple, not to insult or to denigrate but to allow us to truly laugh at ourselves, at our own antics and through that to better understand our society in its entire be it with opening an Islamic bank account, or concerning circumcision or more headier topics.

Naivety, innocence, ignorance, stupidity.. all these words go through my mind when I was watching the clip and all these rolled into one many a times … equals ME!

LOL!
Such a difficult subject, but a very very Malaysian one that all rakyat know and talk about, and the film handles it very well – “you potong rambut cukuplah!”
Very Malaysian!
